David Sánchez Badillo, also known as Tempo, was born on September 25th, 1977 in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Growing up, Tempo lived in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Puerto Rico, Lirios Del Sur. When he was five years old, his family decided to move to New York City, returning when Tempo was 11.
He soon gained an interest in music and started his career by performing in talent shows. In 1995, he recorded his first song, for the album "DJ Joe 3". At that same time, he met DJ Playero, with whom he recorded his first hit in the Reggaeton genre, “Bailando Quiero Verlas”, released in 1998.
Tempo's first album, "Game Over", was released in 1999, followed by "New Game", the year after, and "Unplugged", in 2001. In 2009, he released "Free Tempo", and in 2013 the mixtape "Free Music".
Some of Tempo's most famous songs are "Me Quieren Matar" ft. Anuel AA, "Por Encima" ft. Almighty, "Soy El Mejor En Esto" and "Adictos Al Dinero Facil" ft. Daddy Yankee.
