In the 2014 issue of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People, Academy award-winning director Alfonso was named as one of the most influential directors and Latino persons. Alfonso Cuaron is best known for his visually stunning work in such films as the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and the recent Academy Award Winning film, Gravity. In the past recent years, Alfonso Cuaron has been credited for bringing both emotion and authenticity to all of his films and he has received an Oscar for best director because of his work. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, Alfonso Cuaron has co written, directed, produced, and filmed several movies since the early 1980s, along with a few television series.
Alfonso Cuaron has received international fame long before he was inducted into Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People list. In his native country of Mexico, he had already directed a few successful movies before reaching fame in the US in the mid 90s. His work on movies such as Children Of Men has further pushed his success as a film maker and has allowed him to establish himself as an Academy Award Winner.
