Football is losing a great player this month. Carles Puyol has said farewell to the Barcelona as he retires. This March, Puyol announced his intentions to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season. Thanks to his new knee injury. He is saying farewell early. The 36-year-old Charles Puyol held a Spanish press conference on May 15, 2015 to announce that thanks to his latest knee injury, he would not be able to make the bench for his finale. Carles Puyol has served as Captain for Barcelona since 2004. The highlights of his career include the Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup. The Captain and central defender does not have any solid plans for his future, but one thing is for sure. He wants to restore his knee.
Puyol confesses, "We've not figured out a way to fix it, but I've not given up. I'll keep trying to sort it out but now without the pressure of having to play."
Although Carles Puyol says, "I don’t think I’ll be a coach." He does leave room to change his mind.
