Miriam Cruz, who got a great success at 14 years, when being part of the group Las Chicas Del Can, continues to reap success and is one of the most listened female voices of the merengue music.
Since her childhood, this Dominican woman showed great talent singing and dancing, which allowed her from a young age to join the group Las Chicas Del Can, where her artistic skills led her to become a short time in the lead vocal. With this group she gained fame and toured each one of the Latin American countries and others like United States, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Japan.
After ten years as leader of the band, decides to advance and to form her own band, which was known like 'Miriam y las chicas'. There, her musical career was growing, while worked with artists as recognized as Juan Luis Guerra, who wrote for her the song "Te propongo". The success of the album that included this single and others like "La Loba", led to her music being broadcast on television in countries such as Spain and Holland and a few years later, a world tour, winning the title of "The Diva of The Merengue Music".
In 2006, after a short retirement of music, in which she dedicated to the theater, Miriam returned with Eunice Betances and Teresa Dominguez, with the tour "Aquí estoy", that took them throughout America. From there she hasn’t stopped being successful with her tropical music and the charisma that has always characterized her. She performed two other recordings, titled "Siempre Diva" and "Me Sacudí", in addition to a compilation album that presented in 2016 with the biggest hits of his 35 years of artistic career.
