June 29, 2017 The new opportunities that Rock al Parque 2017 will bring

vidaprimo.com blog

Less than a week from one of the most important Rock festivals in Bogotá and Latin America, the public is eager to know more about what will happen with the 2017 edition of Rock al Parque.

In addition to having confirmed 65 groups -24 international, 16 national and 25 calls and district invitations- that will be responsible for giving life to this year's event, the festival was also responsible for giving prominence to women's groups in its Eco Which will have a program dedicated to the female figures of Colombia and the world, and will be pleased to receive Tulipa Ruiz from Brazil, Catfish from France and La Santa Cecilia from the United States.

Among the female bands will be Lucrecia Dalt, a singer-songwriter of Pereira who lives in Berlin; And Salt Cathedral, which has three studio albums in which it echoes its Indie and Alternative spirit.

As for the international guests, Rock al Parque will present one of the most relevant artists in Chile: Mon Laferte, who with songs like 'Your lack of want', will ignite the most visceral emotions of the festival attendees. To her is added Robi Draco Rosa, who will take the stage with his celebration tour of Vagabundo, one of the most important records in the history of rock in Spanish.

It should be noted that this will be the first Rock to the Park to be held in post-conflict, after a few days ago, the UN announced the total disarmament of the FARC, an armed group with which a final peace agreement was signed in November of the year past. This means a renaissance of music in Colombia as a constructor of new opportunities that promote new ways of understanding others.

Rock al Parque will be held from July 1 to 3, in the Simón Bolívar Park, as usual. Among other important guests will include Elkin Robinson from Providence, Lamb of God and Darkness, who will make this rock festival their official farewell to the stage.
